Passing through a galaxy centre can damage installed technology in your active equipment. The safest approach is to cross with a disposable loadout and package every removable exosuit upgrade.

ACTIVE SYSTEM 01

Exosuit

Package every removable technology module before departure. There is no need to preserve upgrades for a long trek—you can summon your primary ship and board it within seconds of planetfall.

  • Package every removable upgrade
  • Leave only unpackageable core systems
  • Summon and board your primary ship immediately
BRIEF EXPOSURE

ACTIVE SYSTEM 02

Starship

Make a basic secondary ship active for the crossing. Your favorite ship stays safely stored and ready to summon later.

  • Install a working Hyperdrive
  • Fully charge the Hyperdrive
  • Avoid valuable upgrade modules

Multi-tool

Equip a spare multi-tool with minimal technology. After arriving, switch back to your primary tool from the quick menu.
